Life photos in the new house

Some photos of life recently:

Cosmo in the 'parking lot' of the tree - hee her
Walking on a trail near our house

Nancy loving the rain on our walk and the beautiful Lacamas Lake
A view from one of our favorite spots along the trail - this was taken at 6:40 AM while on Cosmo's morning walk
BEAUTIFUL!  Mornings are so peaceful when I can wake up!

My first visitor!  My friend Lauren from work and her baby Emma came over to visit
She is SO SWEET and brought a house warming gift of goodies and decorations for our naked house.
Emma LOVED Cosmo and keep smiling and petting him.  So cute! I loved having them over.

The cute yummy soap Lauren brought newly displayed in our bathroom :)   :

More visitors -
Jonathon,  his brother Robby, their cousin Corey Langford, and Rob's girlfriend Des
....we need to buy some couches!!
I came home from work to this sight LOL.

Before we almost got electrocuted trying to install our washer and dryer
I said Jonno looked like an elephant

You know you're a pregnant woman with swollen feet when....
you can tell which socks I wore that day because the designs match!  I really gotta buy new socks!!

His first silver hairs!!!
I guess buying a house and having a kid will do that to ya! :)

Updates: 23 weeks pregnant and our house

PregNANCY:

-I'm 23 1/2 weeks pregnant! Some quick updates:

I think this was 22 weeks-ish pregnant?
(I wanted to compare this dress to the photo from 6 weeks from the first pregnancy post!)
A little better profile of the bump!

Little baby boy waving "HELLO!"

22 weeks
22 weeks

Pregnancy Pros:

-I've had three ultrasounds- the last two, little guy got all comfy in a perfect position to not be able to see some important things like his heart and spine. Little stink!
-This little baby boy moves all around but especially at night when I get in bed and when there is loud music on
-I love the way my clothes fit right now. I can't fit in a lot of my old clothes much longer but I love the extra curves and especially this belly. It's so cute!
-My belly button is starting to be a permanent outie  (I'm not sure if this is a pro, but it just does it)
-Jonno is so cute taking care of me and his son. It's been amazing to watch him grow already and be a "protector."
-People LOVE babies. I can't believe how excited people get for me when I tell them I'm pregnant. My patients all light up!  It's fun :)

Pregnancy Cons:

-My ankles are officially cankles. I am looking up "pregnancy socks" to order on Google as I type this blog
---(My current socks leave imprints around my ankles for six hours after I take them off when I finish work- haha! Well, it was funny.. now it just kinda hurts and is still a little funny.)
-I've had lots of pain sensitivity -- my areas that were already sore before have increased (my lower back/hips, wrist, foot, and upper back)  and my feet have been KILLING me.  Apparently from the relaxin hormone relaxing all my ligaments to prep for the birth.
----Jonno finally realized maybe it's because of the extra weight on my feet? Makes sense to me.  (I've gained 20 lbs! Wow!)
-I get these migraine headache things (I call them "eye-grains") behind my right eye every now and then and random bloody noses
-It's getting harder and harder to bend over to put on my shoes. Or get up once I'm sitting down.

I wish my family could be closer by. I think the hormones got me especially nostalgic the last couple weeks.  even got out my old memory box a couple weeks ago! I've been a little "homesick" for my family- just to have them around to see and laugh with and have them around for these little life milestones.    I LOVE living in the Northwest, just missing my true "HOME" sometimes.

OUR NEW HOUSE:

We bought our first house! And moved in last week.

Huge shout out of thanks to our awesome friend Dave Myers, Bob and Susie, Jared and Patricia Judd, and the two random boys walking by who I paid $10 to unload the truck for me when I was exhausted (well worth it!), who all helped in one way or another with our move.

We LOVE OUR HOUSE!!!!!!

Jonno unlocking the door for the first time!!

Ta-Da!!!
The huge-A truck I got to drive!
We rented this for the day and brought home our new fridge, washer and dryer, and moved all our boxes.
Luckily we don't have much furniture- only our bedroom set and two chairs.

These are our welcoming presents from neighbors -
The Judds and Shannon from across the street. SO NICE!
We love our neighbors!!!

This is also the table we bought. And love!
We ate our first two meals yesterday of a breakfast burrito and then pizza for dinner. Yum!

 Some nearby walking spots:

This is a pano from a view of the Round Lake- a .23 mile walk from our front door
We LOVE living here!!!!!!

Cosmo hopping along some rocks at the lake - I love the reflection of the trees on the water.

Cosmo and I walked down on Sunday morning around 7:30 and there was nobody around.
I leaned up against a rock and read a book while Cosmo explored.
Fish were jumping and birds singing and it was PERFECT weather.
I can't believe we live RIGHT HERE!!!!

I still need to post more pictures of the gender reveal party (best party ever- hahah!), our 6 year anniversary, and all our stay-cation pictures from August. We've had the best month of our lives this last month and can't believe all the exciting things that are coming in the next few months!  Sooooo stay posted!

Pacific Crest Half Marathon

Baby Huckvale ran its first race (kangaroo style as my father in law Bob put it).  Jonathon and I went down to Sun River, Oregon with Jonathon's parents to run the Pacific Crest Half Marathon - 13.1 miles.  We are sore today, but it was a lot of fun and so beautiful there! We'll definitely be back!

One of the sites along the trail at Sun River

Nancy, Baby Huck, Jonathon, Bob, Susie before the race

Jonno and Nancy before!
(A lot of these pictures turned out pretty dark - I did what I could to lighten them and salvage what I could!)

One of the MANY pictures and videos we got from the camera
while it was inside Jonathon's pocket while we were running- haha!

Right after we finished - we DID OT!!
(Another dark picture :(  )
Victorious!
Bob and Susie after they finished
They did awesome! Susie's first half.

I love him so much!
This was his first big race since running cross country in high school. I'm so proud of him!
(That is a giant beer keg behind us- ha)

Jonno after the race finished - haha!
We were so sore- all we wanted to do was lay/sit and stretch out.
Our knees were KILLING us the first day and luckily were fine day 2.
However, our hips, quads, and hammies were prettttty tight day 2. We limped all around!

Coming along!
Napping in the car on our drive home
We had a 3 hour and 45 minute drive home to Camas after the race.
I was driving and couldn't go any further. We pulled over for me to get a quick nap and after 15 minutes I was set!
Jonathon said I looked so cute so he took this photo. :)
We were both unfit to drive! Luckily this plus a Burger King ice cream cone did the trick to get us home!

We stopped to eat at a Mexican place in Redmond where Susie nearly fainted and was what Jonathon       diagnosed as "DE-SALT-ZENIZED!" so she laid down on the floor in the restaurant.
The server was very concerned! But she was a trooper and survived to tell the tale.

We LOVED Sun River and can't wait to go back and explore it more when we've got more time.

The Huckvales are having a baby!!

Baby Huckvale is due December 13, 2013!

First FAINT LINE..
My friend Rona from work told me "As long as you see a  FAINT line,
it means you're pregnant!"
I'd taken several before this morning and they had all been negative so
my heart DROPPED when I saw this as I GASPED!
First day I found out I was pregnant!

Second day I picked up an 'official' non-dollar store version to confirm :)

We found out the day after we got back from our trip to Bend, OR!

ANNOUNCING TO OUR FAMILY:

We announced on Mother's Day the big news by giving Susie and Lisa a card that said:
"Happy Mother's Day, GRANDMA"

We included a little picture of our positive pregnancy test and a baby shirt that says:
"Grandma's Best Friend"

It was a big hit to say the least!  We mailed a package to my Mom who is in Utah and got to spend the day with my Mother in Law Susie in Boise, Idaho while visiting Grandpa and Grandma Huckvale.

The whole family, even ELDER DAVID HUCKVALE!!

FaceTime with Mom to watch her
find out the big news!
I'm grateful for technology so we can
be "together" even when we're so far apart.
Isn't she a cute Mom?

My older sister Shirley is expecting her third baby (a GIRL!) in October so my mom has been really excited for that.  She said after opening this "WOW, I'm going to DOUBLE my Grandchildren going from two to FOUR this year!!"

Six Weeks :)

First Ultrasound at 11 weeks
I went in for my first 11 week appointment with the doctor at Vancouver Women's Clinic in Salmon Creek in Vancouver, Washington.

I asked the doctor if I could hear the heart beat today and he said it was probably too early.  Later on he was going to do some doctor-y stuff and feel around and all of a sudden he put jelly on my belly and started doing an ultrasound!  I said, "Wait, what are you doing? Are you doing an ultrasound??"  For some reason, he didn't mention he was going to do this - he said he could do this INSTEAD of the heartbeat. (weird, but whatever.)

I couldn't believe when I looked at the screen and saw this tiny little baby waving its arms and almost "popping" around in there. It was laying flat and then POPPED up and straightened out :) Hehe it was so cute! And it finally felt REAL- THIS is the reason I'd not felt well and THIS is the tiny thing growing inside me.

I felt tears run down my cheek as I smiled and laughed at this cute site.  The very first feeling I got after I left that day was to go to the temple and pray with gratitude that I have this opportunity to be a Mommy someday soon.

I feel like I'm finally kinda starting to show!!
