BABY SHOWER in Utah

I flew down to Utah last weekend to have a baby shower with my Utah friends and family.
It was SO FUN!

I LOVED seeing my old friends and family I haven't seen in so long. I cannot believe I have been blessed over the years to be surrounded by such great people.  I had a permanent smile on my face because everyone that came in through the door was someone I've loved and have great memories with.

Thank you to everyone who came and made it such a special day. Baby Teddy and I felt the love!!
THANK YOU!!!!!

My grandma Ann Richards threw the party and hosted it at her house.  Everything about it was perfect!
She decorated cute and had just the right amount of yummy food.

Me with my "Mom to be" sash my Grandma got me :)
Popping at 31 weeks!

Yummy food:
chicken salad sandwiches, cookies, veggies, crackers and cheese dip.

Little "Thank you" buckets of candy and mini pacifiers Grandma made - so cute!

Anyone who knows my mom knows how great she is at taking pictures and recording memories/events. Today was no different. :)

Here is everyone who came:

Kirsti and her mom Shannon Anjeweirden
-Kirsti got me my first REAL dental hygiene job that I LOVED in Utah at Dr. Ellis' office in SLC.
She is amazing and can do anything. I'll forever be grateful for her for getting me that job.

My BFF from high school Dayna! I hadn't seen her in YEARS and it was soo great to see her!!
My first memory is us driving down to the dunes in the middle of the night and almost hitting a deer and me screaming but Dayna staying so calm and driving great! AND our Tigger dance moves video!! Hahah!

Kerri, Lexie, Kaylee, and Summer Richards - my aunt and cousins.
One of my favorite families!

Ward sisters!!  I LOVE my home ward!
Cathleen Frome, Karen Stoker, Janice Kerby.
I was raised by some GREAT women.

TACO!!!!!
One of my favorite goalies from lacrosse.
We were cold at practice one day and rolled all together to make a taco. Somehow she got the nickname Taco and I became Cheese.

Whitney and Madison Hogge
-Madison was in mine and Jonathon's 12-14 year old Sunday School class we taught a long time ago.  We LOVED her and her twin brother Taylor.  We really bonded with them and have missed them but have loved watching them grow up and seeing all they become and do!

Katie and Anna Sieverts and Baby Jane
-I LOVE the Sieverts family!! Katie is due with her little boy just four days after me! She's adorable and Anna was the person who inspired me to run a marathon.  They are both so cool!

Seeing my brother Steven for the first time since June

Steven and Natalie
-My brother and sister-in-law.  It was fun having Steven there and everyone loved seeing him and catching up too.  It was also nice for him to interpret for my mom while I was opening presents. And Natalie is gorgeous and so sweet and nice.  She helped take and organize all the presents for me as I opened them :) Thanks Natalie!

The Montagues:  Sandy, Cassie, Kylee, and Megan
I told Sandy she's always been one of my favorite aunts. When I was younger I thought she was so nice and cool and always made me feel LOVED. She is such a light. And I got to spend some time with Cassie at Grandpa Roush's birthday party in June and she is so cute and fun.

Me and my "favorite aunt" Cynthia who made the BEST mint cookies I've EVER TASTED!!

Grandma Roush - sweetest. She gave a great scrapbook for Teddy's first year. I am so excited to fill it with pictures!

Liz Frome
-She is like a model.  We were best friends in elementary school and we played basketball together!

Patty Steadman - love her!  She knows all about having BOYS (she's got four of her own!)

My cousin Michelle
-She came with her mom Penni. I loved hanging out with her kids at Grandpa Roush's birthday party in June and even pulled her daughter's tooth!

Marci LeBaron Watson and Suzi Pehrson Salisbury!!!
They are both so awesome! I LOVE THEM!

Christmas Day outfit from my mom :) So cute! And tiny!

Karen Stoker gave us a little polka dot Piggy Bank and even got the piggy bank started! What a great idea!!
Judy Miller stopped by for a second. Her husband is the bishop of my old home ward now.

My mom and HER baby!

Can you tell she is excited?

Another childhood best friend, Natalie! And she even brought her tiny, perfect little twins!! And her Mom Elaine.
They are ADORABLE! She gave me lots of good advice for bathing the baby and a baby tub.

Ally Law!  I was in band with her in high school. We went on band tour together at Disneyland and whenever I was around it smelled like churros so she called me Churro after that. Ha!

Grandma Ann
The party animal who made it all happen.
THANKS GRANDMA!!!!
She loved it too. She said she loved watching my face light up whenever each new person came through the door and I got to hug them :)

ALMOST 4 generations :)

32 weeks

I had my 32 week check up a couple days ago.

I've had a few people say "You're so small!" Well, they were right.  When measuring, Dr. Dunnam said I was 29 cm which is only up a little from when I was there a month ago.  It still doesn't sound very serious or problematic, but my doctor ordered an ultrasound just in case. I'll have that done Tuesday.

Updates:

-Baby Teddy has found my rib cage and favors the right side to kick :(
-My feet are so big now I officially can't wear my old Danskos any longer
--I made this executive decision yesterday after my volunteer Dentistry from the Heart day when I took the shoes off for a break and could barely get them back on it was so painful! Ouch!
-I think I've been feeling PREGNANT the last 1 1/2 weeks.  I wake up with headaches, and will randomly feel dizzy during the day but usually when I get too hot, which is all the time. :)
-Cherri at work put a fan in my room this week which helps a lot! What a sweetheart.
-We are doing a waterbirth so I am getting things ready for that - paperwork, reading up on it, etc.  This is how I was born (25 years ago next Saturday!) and I think this will fit my personality and style well.
-I LOVED going to Utah for my baby shower (a separate post on that later) and it is so fun to finally have a couple of baby things!
--We've been so busy getting our house established that we haven't even started on anything for the baby.  It makes it seem so much more REAL to be laying out little tiny blue clothes!

32 weeks

Unpacking Teddy's suitcases from his baby shower in Utah
I couldn't wait to open this first TOY and play with it. I loved having the sounds of a little kid fill my home!!!

Card from Annie

Who doesn't love getting GOOD mail?
I got a fun surprise in the mail a little while ago from my sister in law Annie who moved to Nebraska with her husband two months ago.

It made me cry it was so cute!
I'm so excited for this baby to come. We love him already.

28 weeks - Welcome to THIRD TRIMESTER!

28 weeks! Third Trimester! Can you believe it??

I like the right picture because it show my button popping out - haha!

I don't have too many updates.. everything's been about the same.  I've been really fortunate to have a good pregnancy so far.

*My doctor said at the last visit I finally had my "growth spurt" that everyone gets at one point or another.
--She did say my belly was measuring a little small- we'll check again at the next visit. Didn't sound too worrisome.
*I've gained about 25 lbs - and I feel like I've gained 25 pounds!
--It's starting to get hard to bend over and roll out of bed. And I'm getting tired a lot faster. Bending over to pick up Cosmo's spilled dog food left me surprisingly out of breath yesterday!
*I had my glucose test at the last visit too. She said I am basically the opposite of a diabetic- and I need to eat more frequently.
--This is how I've always been though. Even before pregnancy, if I don't eat every couple hours it hits me really hard- I get grumpy and "down" so that's always been one thing I make a priority in the day is to eat/drink frequently to avoid that.
*I am HOT all the time
*When I get too hot, my feet and calves swell and my hands a little too.  This makes wearing my shoes uncomfortable!
*The top of my belly feels like it "goes to sleep" when I sit hunched over too long.  Long meaning like more than two minutes.  Terrible for a DENTAL HYGIENIST who is hunched over ALL DAY and I notice it when I'm driving too.
*I have been bra-less for the last month.  They are just so uncomfortable!
   --BEST. DECISION. EVER.
*I love feeling little Sweet Baby J moving around. He's starting to get strong!
--We still don't have an official name for him but.. I think we may have found "the one." And I think you will all love it as much as I do! :) :)
*We still don't really have anything set up for his baby room. I laid out a couple of his outfits though and blankets and it made me so excited! :)
*Jonathon is really excited and so cute. He is going to be the best dad.
*And Cosmo is excited to be a big brother! Haha JK.
--Actually, the other night we were in the kitchen and Cosmo click-clacked out of the room (our hardwood floors downstairs make a click-clack noise when he walks around that i love :) and anyone who knows Cosmo knows he never leaves our side.  So I was surprised when he wasn't around. I went to investigate and found him in the baby room with the lights off laying on the floor near his folded clothes. It was so cute!  I think they'll make good buddies. :)

Anyway, that's all for now! I am SO EXCITED to fly to Utah next month and see my family who I've missed so much and have a shower and get to see my old friends!!  AND BEST OF ALL I get to meet my new NEICE who will be born sometime this next week or two!! I can't wait!  She's already got the two CUTEST big brothers who will love her and tease her. Hehe.

Oh yeah, I signed up for some birthing classes for me and Jonno in two weeks. I'm looking forward to that.

University of Oregon vs Tennessee football game in Eugene, OR

We headed down to Eugene, Oregon to Autzen Stadium to watch the Ducks play against the Tennessee Volunteers. It was fun to watch such great teams play, the loud and fun environment, and pretty drive down!

Jonathon and I began our relationship dating and going to all the BYU football home games so college football has always been a fun part of our relationship. Jonathon even proposed to me at Lavell Edwards Stadium at BYU on the field!

Awesome stadium!

Jonno near the end zone!

Sweet Baby J's first football game!

They had these little wood beam things that had scores of previous games. If Oregon won, it was yellow. If the other team won, it was painted their school colors. There were a couple hundred of them. Here is Jonno and his alma mater!

Me and my DUCK TRUCK!
-This was pretty sweet. It even had blue and green "feathers" painted on the back end of the truck.

We saw this huge blow up guy and I told Jonno to take a picture of him.  He took his phone out and unlocked it and all of a sudden the guy fell on his face and was starting to deflate!  They were deflating him to start cleaning up and we missed this photo opp by literal SECONDS!!  Hence my sad face in the photo with the big blow up guy instead. Haha!

I included this one so you could see my DUCK earrings zoomed in :)
Aren't they cute!

We love the fall and ducks and being together and college football and LIFE. :)

Day trip to Canon Beach

Jonathon and I had a couple days off of work at the beginning of August and took a day trip to the coast. We had lots of fun relaxing! Here are some pictures:

In front of Haystack Rock
at Canon Beach, Oregon

Cosmo getting his vacay on

He looked so cute!  It was his first time to the beach - he liked it!
I think he is more of a mountain dog though - he loves hikes and trails and adventures.

Our station - it was perfect! We laid in the grassy area so we were not surrounded by people.
Jonno took a little nap and I caught up with journal writing.

cuties

Awwwww!!!!!!

Me and Cosmo on the beach
I love this headband - you can get them at Claires for a couple dollars but it's a retro 50s style. Love it!
It was pretty windy on the beach - not a "get a sun tan" kinda beach. :)

Oregon Pride

We packed lunches (some dry peanut butter and honey sandwiches with the end slices of a loaf of bread) and ate them when we arrived to the beach.

On our drive home, we stopped and ate here at Camp 18. All the food was so BIG! We at meatloaf and ribs. Yum!

Can you find Cosmo in the front door??

The restaurant had this little mini model of the cabin/restuarant just Cosmo's size!

After lunch we decided to walk around the surrounding area and check it out.  There was this awesome river behind it!
Across the river was a mossy elephant?
Jonno and Cosmo walked across the stream to check it out. Cosmo had to swim some of the way since the water was high and it was so adorable!

We've loved having "stay-cations" this year saving money and checking out all the local areas. So fun!

This is what you get when you come visit us soooooo COME VISIT US IN PORTLAND!!!
